Bacău County

Bacău County has a total area of 6,621 km2, In the west of the county there are mountains from the Eastern Carpathian group, where the valleys of Oituz River and Trotuș River are situated there are two important links between Moldavia and Transylvania. On the East side the Siret River valley crosses the county from North to South. On the East side there is the Moldavian Plateau crossed by many small rivers. Bacău County is one of 41 counties in Romania. Bacău is the capital of the county.
