Bistrița-Năsăud County

Bistrița-Năsăud County has a total area of 5,355 km2, with one third of the surface mountainous from the Eastern Carpathians group: the Țibleș, Rodna, Bârgău and Călimani Mountains. The rest is the North-East side of the Transylvanian Plateau. The main river crossing the county is the Someșul Mare and another the Bistrița River where there is a dam and lake. Bistrița-Năsăud County is one of 41 counties in Romania located in the North West of Romania. Bistrița is the capital of the county.
