Botoșani County

Botoșani County has a total area of 4,987 km2. Located in the North East of Romania and is on a high plain between the Rivers Siret and Prut, in the northeastern part of Romania, bordering Ukraine to the north and Moldova to the east. To the west and south it has borders with Suceava and Iași counties. It is one of 41 counties in Romania. Botoșani is the capital of the county.
