This place is full of history and use to be the capital of England and is seventy miles to the south west of the now capital London. The current population is about 45,184 inhabitants.

There are a number of Military Museums at Winchester including, The Museum of The King's Royal Hussars, The Royal Green Jackets (Rifles) Museum, The Gurkha Museum, The Royal Hampshire Regiment Museum, The Rifles Museum and The Adjutant General's Corps Museum. Winchester City Mill

This is an ancient working watermill and cafe in the heart of Winchester. A rare surviving example of an urban working corn mill, the Winchester City Mill was rebuilt in 1744. The National Trust took it over in the late 1920’s and the City Mill was restored back to full working order in 2004.

This is an historic restaurant located in Winchester which occupies a 600 year old grade II listed Medieval house of exceptional character and charm. It is now independently owned since 2008 by a small group of friends who share a passion for food and wine.
